A meeting was held at the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, attended by senior representatives of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation and Azerbaijan Academy of Labour and Social Relations (AALSR).
In the meeting organised to strengthen collaborative ties, Elnur Safarli, Chairperson of the Board of the National Observatory, and Associate Professor Yusif Agayev, Acting Rector of AALSR, signed a joint action plan for cooperation.
E. Safarli provided participants with a comprehensive overview of the Observatory’s activities. He noted that analysing the labour market, developing human capital and enhancing social policy through research are among the institution’s top priorities. It was emphasised that this partnership will lay the groundwork for more productive and sustainable joint initiatives in the future.
In his speech, Y. Agayev underlined the importance of formalising cooperation with the National Observatory to strengthen scientific approaches in the fields of labour and social protection. He stated that, within the framework of this collaboration, they plan to develop training programmes, support young researchers and organise scientific events.
Under the Action Plan, the Observatory will support the establishment and improvement of a survey bank for research conducted at AALSR, based on its transparent and successful survey practice. At the same time, the partnership envisages the preparation and submission of joint dissertation topics at Master’s level in relevant specialties, as well as the co-authorship of scientific articles and studies.
Furthermore, under the cooperation agreement, the employability of AALSR graduates will be analysed.
