A meeting was recently held between Elnur Safarli, Chairman of the Board of the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs, and Anar Nagiyev, Rector of Baku Slavic University (BSU), to explore collaborative strategies aimed at improving the alignment between education and the labour market.
The discussions centred on key priorities such as enhancing the quality of personnel training, ensuring graduates successfully integrate into the workforce, and strengthening the university-industry partnership. Nagiyev highlighted BSU’s focus on adapting students’ knowledge and skills to meet real-world job market needs.
During the meeting, Rector Anar Nagiyev emphasized that a key priority for Baku Slavic University is ensuring the successful integration of its graduates into the labour market. He noted that the university is actively implementing measures to align students' knowledge and skills with the requirements of the real-work environment.
Safarli provided insights into the role of the National Observatory, highlighting its focus on creating educational frameworks aligned with labour market demands. He underlined the importance of close cooperation between higher education institutions and the Observatory to develop a sustainable link between education and employment opportunities.
The meeting also explored the alignment of academic specialties offered at BSU with current labour market demands, opportunities for joint scientific research, the curriculum update, and prospects for future collaboration.
