The National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs, under Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan, recently hosted an infotour for representatives of civil society institutions, including members of the Public Council under the Ministry.
The event was aimed to enhance collaboration with civil society institutions focused on combating corruption, provide NGO representatives with an opportunity to learn about the National Observatory’s efforts to promote transparency in personnel assessment and training processes, as well as its overall activities in the field.
During the infotour, participants visited the Training and Development Centre and the Assessment Centre operating under the National Observatory. They received detailed information about the assessment process, the methodologies applied, and the training programs carried out at these centres.
It was emphasized that the approaches applied at the Assessment Centre are based on international standards and the principles of transparency and objectivity.
Elnur Safarli, Chairman of the Board of the National Observatory, highlighted that the primary objective of these centres is to enhance the skills and knowledge of human resources in response to the evolving demands of the labour market. He added that these efforts play a crucial role in boosting the overall efficiency of the labour market.
The Training and Development Centre offers contemporary training modules designed to support the professional growth of employees within the Ministry and its affiliated institutions. These modules are tailored to address the real needs of the labour market, aiming to enhance participants' knowledge and competencies by equipping them with practical skills.
At the end of the infotour, NGO representatives had the opportunity to ask questions about the centres’ activities, fostering a lively exchange of views. The participants expressed their appreciation for the National Observatory’s efforts in organizing such an event and stressed the importance of holding such meetings on a regular basis.
